
Derek McInnes takes over as Rangers manager after Danny Rohl joins RB Salzburg

Club president Andrew Caveneh praised McInnes as someone the club has always respected and who has the right experience. “He knows how to win in this league. and just had a strong season with Hearts,” Caveneh said.

McInnes has more than 800 appearances in charge, starting his coaching career at St Johnstone in 2007 before a brief stint with Bristol City, then joining Aberdeen in 2013, spending eight years there. Last season McInnes won 28 out of 44 matches across all competitions with Hearts. His team has not lost at home in the league all season. And has a better performance than Rangers in 3 out of 4 meetings, including wins over Celtic both at home and away. The move to Ibrox will reunite McInnes with Shandland. After the Scottish striker moved to Rangers three weeks ago. He scored 20 goals for Hearts last season.
Rangers are not slowing down in their search for a new manager and the first team are due to report back for training this week. The club is also preparing to play in the Europa League.
