PSV Youth Team began their preparations with a 1-1 draw with Antwerp.

PSV played their first warm-up match of preparation for the 2026/27 season against Antwerp FC. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. In this game, coach Peter Boss chose to organize a team with different halves to give the young players a chance to shine. Bosz fielded two different teams in the first two half. Each time there were players from the senior team mixed with kids from Jong PSV and the under-19 team hoping to test their potential. Before halftime, players brought on for veterans included Nick Olij, Kiliann Sildillia, Yarek Gasiorowski, Couhaib Driouech and Dennis Man. In the first half, PSV was the better side. And one young player has shown great form, replacing Jerdy Schouten as number 6, Noah Fernandez, who has impressed with both his control of the game and his runs all over the field. He capped off the first half with a spectacular goal to put PSV up 1-0. The moment came when Sildillia pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the box before Fernandez was able to snatch it away. He dodged a tackle with a smooth dribble. Then cut into the foot and shoot by turning and spinning the ball beautifully into the far left corner. In the second half, PSV brought on more experienced players such as Joey Veerman, Ryan Flamingo and Alassane Pléa who were returning to recover. But the performance of the second set of players was not as outstanding as the first set, giving Antwerp a chance and coming to score an equalizer from the goal that followed after a corner kick. Antwerp's equalizing goal came from Aaron Ibrahim, left defender for the Belgian Under-17 national team, who curled a right-footed shot from around 16 yards into the top right corner.
