Massimiliano Canzi appointed as Cagliari's Youth Director

Today at Cagliari's Sa Manifattura, a press conference was held to introduce Massimiliano Canzi as Cagliari's new Youth Director. Canzi expressed his excitement in returning to the club after previously coaching Primavera. Canzi said, “I am grateful to the president for giving me this opportunity. For me it's like coming home. My dream is to come back to Cagliari and at this stage of my career. I know this role is the right one.” He also talked about the challenges of changing roles. “It was definitely a decision that had to be thought out carefully. But I believe this is an opportunity that has come at the right time. I was lucky to come here without starting from scratch. but can develop what already exists" As for next season, Canzi said: "I love football in every role and am delighted to have this new role at Cagliari. We have to make the youth side more attractive, especially with the results. Our main goal is to create good players and quality people.” Canzi also spoke about Primavera's change from U19 to U20, saying: "This change was very controversial.
