FC Utrecht signs 19-year-old winger Emmanuel Chikosi-Owen from Bayer Leverkusen.

FC Utrecht has announced the signing of 19-year-old winger Emmanuel Chikosi Owen from Bayer Leverkusen this summer. The move marks Utrecht's second Bayer Leverkusen transaction in the summer market. Having previously brought Ferdinand Pole to the team, Chikosi Owen has signed a contract with the club until the mid-2030s, unlike Pole's contract which runs until 2029. The player can also play for Jong FC Utrecht's reserve team. Before joining, Owen had never played professional football at senior level. He spent two seasons with Bayer Leverkusen's Under-19s after joining from 1899 Hoffenheim in 2024.
