Former Spurs manager Ange Postegoglu takes charge of Al-Nasr

Al-Nasr, a club from Riyadh The appointment of Ange Postegoglu has been announced as the team's new head coach. The famous Saudi Arabian team, captained by Cristiano Ronaldo, won the Saudi Pro League for the first time this past May. The team was previously managed by Jorge Jesus, who at 71 years old retired from his role at the end of last season. Postegoglu, 60, is an Australian born in Greece. Signed a two-year contract with Al-Nasr after being unemployed since being sacked from his position at Nottingham Forest last October. He only worked for 39 days with that club before being released. Postegoglu previously led Spurs to Europa League glory in 2025 and had a successful spell with Celtic, winning back-to-back Scottish Premier League titles. During the World Cup he was also an analyst for ITV. The club has yet to reveal in-depth details of its plans. But the appointment of a coach with a European background like Postegoglu suggests Al-Nasr wants to maintain the standards they achieved after winning the league last season.
